Ashley Peterson Photography has shared a beautiful rustic military wedding that has so many great details!! But before we get to the photos let's learn more about Ashley and this patriotic couple. Ashley is available for lifestyle and portrait photography in the Northern Neck of Virginia to capture your family's most precious, everyday moments!
Ashley shares, "The love and emotion from their day was tangible. Michelle and Warren have an amazing love story that began while he was deployed overseas. Warren was the accidental recipient of goody box sent by a member of Michelle’s church. Though accidental, Warren became friends with the family and stayed in contact with them. This friend decided that Michelle and Warren should meet so she gave them eachother’s contact information. E-mails lead to phone calls and their romance budded despite the long distance. Warren was finally able to come home to the states and Michelle was there waiting when he got off the plane. That was it - they were head over heals in love!"
This DIY Americana wedding on 6/7/14 was richly inspired by the bride's love of country decor and the groom’s service to our country in the Army. The rustic historical charm of Belle Isle State Park in Lancaster, VA was the perfect setting. The Belle Air House, built in 1942, is a colonial reproduction built with materials used from other notable historical buildings in the area. Overlooking Deep Creek, the area boasts some of the most beautiful sunsets in the area. Red, White, and Blue petals create an isle to the handmade archway built by the groom from driftwood found along the shoreline. Red, white, and blue accents were richly mixed in with all their decor as well and tributes to age old American pastimes such as s’mores and a campfire.
