Our 5 year anniversary is coming up and I've been thinking a lot about what helps keep marriages strong. Although my husband is out of the military now, I'm still very close with those who are. When marriage goes right, it
allows us to be stronger people together than we would be apart. Here are some important things to remember plus some links to other great posts about relationship advice. Do any of you have other advice? I'd love for you to share in the comment box below and I'm sure other readers would appreciate some words of wisdom!
6 KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER WHILE MARRIED
6 KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER WHILE MARRIED
1. Be
understanding.
2. Surround
yourself with caring helpful people whether it’s your family, military network,
or friends
3. With
deployments and a lot of time away from each other, don’t cheat!
4. Go to
counseling. Either the two of you, or just you, or just you and your children.
(I personally went to counseling during our deployment and after. I found it
very helpful especially if you have a good person to talk to.)
5. Seek
military resources and military networks to assist you and your family.
6. Learn how to efficiently pack your house and move - ugh I know some people are probably Master Movers by now!
