{Real Wedding} Christine & Stephen

"I believe in LOVE" that's what Evie Perez of Evie Perez Photography believes in. She explains, "There is something about weddings that brings a smile to my face. Just think, after all the planning is done, the dress has been cleaned and put away, the only tangible thing you have from your wedding is the pictures. I love the idea of my clients looking back 20, 40, or even 60 years from now and having the same feeling they did on the day they were married. Capturing moments that so deeply touch someone’s heart, split seconds in time that can be frozen, yet felt for years to come…that is what Evie Perez Photography is about." Evie is a military wife and available in the Atlanta, GA area, but also travels.

When Evie submitted this wedding my eyes about burst!! I am obsessed with scrabble theme details, I also love etsy artists, and the cake toppers are just so adorable!! Here is Stephen and Christine's wedding story. Christine & Stephen kept it small and intimate. Their wedding was very special, having BOTH just gotten back from a deployment (and planning their wedding overseas) they wanted to make sure their wedding was a celebration with their loved ones! Christine's maid of honor, Veronica returned from a 12 month deployment the week before her wedding. Christine's father is also in the military and wore his dress uniform, he is an infantry colonel (O6). Steve proposed to Christine on April 13th , and then THEY had to deploy at the end of May until the beginning of October, wedding to follow on 03 November, so they were also on a time crunch too. They had a very small guest list (mainly family) of about 25 people but they still wanted it to look nice so Design House of Flowers in Buford, GA did a wonderful job with the flowers and flower arrangements, linens and chair covers. Christine also used Etsy.com for the little things like:
- personalized wooden cake topper (knottingwood), they have different types and styles of cake toppers
- "mr and mrs" and "thank you" banners (PurplePeonyCouture)
- thank you cards were made by Wedding Paper Divas (as well as the invitations), using their picture with the "thank you" banner
- cookies (ButterBlossoms), they had about 10 different people ship them samples to try, all good, but they loved the extra care and taste from Butter Blossoms the best!!! and favor boxes (KatBluStudio)
- favor tags (emaliasfancy) and place holder tags (Tagged with Love)
- magnet keys attached to the place holders were an from a wedding Christine saw in a Martha Stewart wedding magazine (shabbymcfabby)
*everything on Etsy.com was purchased online while deployed*
Mikaella wedding dress (also found in the Martha Stewart magazine), is where Christine decided to splurge a little and wow, it was worth it!! She found the dress a week before she deployed and purchased it ASAP. It was ready by the time they got back for her fitting. Christine's mother is Korean so she wanted to include their culture somehow in the decor, hence she used the adorable Korean dolls to decorate the sweetheart table for the reception (found at any Korean market). Thank you to Evie for sharing this beautiful wedding and to Christine for providing so many details about her wedding, I know the readers will love knowing where all your wedding details were from!
