{Real Wedding} Ashley & Matt

Lauren Nygard Photography is back again and with a really unique wedding that was held on a boat! If you missed her homecoming post from Lauren click here.

Ashley and Matt's wedding took place on a small 1940s yacht as it sailed the San Diego Bay. The wedding was attended by about 25 of  the bride & groom's family and closest friends from all over the world. It was a gorgeously intimate afternoon. How romantic and check out their cake, so cool! Thanks again Lauren for more wonderful photos!

{Real Wedding} Meghan & Stuart

Today's wedding is brought to you by one of my favorite southern wedding photographers whom I've been following for a long time now! Andi is a sweetheart and even though we have never officially met in person I can tell that she is the most warm, friendly, deeply spiritual, and talented person. Andi Mans Photography does it all: weddings & lifestyle photography, plus graphic design and she has her own etsy shop - http://www.etsy.com/shop/andimans. Her passion is chasing natural light, being in the beautiful outdoors and happy couples. She is serving Central Florida, Orlando, and destination weddings.

Now onto this breathtaking wedding! "Stuart and I were very good friends in middle school. We both ended up at the same high school where we both tried to date but one of us was always unavailable. In the winter of 2009, we started hanging out and talking again. We got together on January 10, 2010. It was honestly a dream come true! Stuart had left for his training in March 2012 for the Army and on July 13, 2012 he proposed and of course I said YES! We had our amazing wedding January 12, 2013!" Thank you to Andi for sharing these photos and to Meghan for sharing your story.

{Real Wedding} Courtney & Grayson

Today I have a husband wife photography team from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Grant & Sara Dotson describe their photography philosophy, "we bring a unique perspective to photography, one influenced by life experiences as well as comprehensive art and design training. Our cameras are an extension of not only our eyes, but our minds and hearts, instantly capturing moments and emotions just as they occur." I have to be honest, I was drawn to their website because of their beautifully designed logo and style, that when I read their bios and found out that both of them are graphic designers also, it made sense! Make sure you stop by their handsome website and blog here.

Courtney & Grayson have a long love story filled with deployments and accomplishments! Courtney was kind enough to share their story and even though their wedding does not have a sword arch or uniforms, they do have ties to the military. "My father is a retired Marine, and currently works as a civilian for the Navy out of Cherry Point, NC. Growing up, I had always said that I would never marry a military man, simply because I didn't want to move like I did when I was younger. But God had another plan for me. Grayson and I met in the fall of 2005 while in school at Auburn. Grayson had enlisted with the Marine Corps after high school and was a Marine Reservist out of Montgomery, AL. Grayson taught me about the Reserves, and after two years of dating, Grayson was deployed to Haditha, Iraq in 2007. Communication was not great because the satellites in his area where often knocked out of commission by storms. He returned stateside in April of 2008. In the Fall of 2008 I started Pharmacy School at Auburn's Harrison School of Pharmacy. In June 2009 he was sent for a humanitarian mission to train military in peacekeeping operations in The Republic of Benin, which is a country in West Africa that is between Togo and Nigeria. While in Benin, Grayson received a Certificate of Commendation to recognize his outstanding performance during this mission. In May of 2012, I graduated Pharmacy School and we got married. We are now living in Birmingham, AL."

{Deployment} Tim & Taylor

Emily Greene of Greene Label Photography is back with images from a very sad deployment of her good friends Tim and Taylor. I've mostly shared homecomings which are also emotional but having been through this experience of saying good-bye, I know how heart wrenching it can be! Emily explains, "Tim and Taylor were again being separated from war. As sad as this night was, I am so glad I was able to capture such a tearful goodbye and raw emotion. Distance has no correlation to love. Nothing can stand in between two people who's hearts are completely in love. Not a continent. Not a war." Thank you Emily for sharing these photos even if you made all of us cry!
